The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and local police have impounded three vehicles filled with rubbish, alleging a violation of regulations stipulated under Section 144.
The vehicles, filled with garbage, were reportedly planning to deposit the waste in Nullah Lai. However, authorities from WASA and the police intercepted the operation and seized control of the vehicles.
In accordance with directives from the Home Department (Punjab), Rawalpindi’s Deputy Commissioner (DC) has imposed Section 144 in the vicinity of Nullah Lai.
