Usman Qamar and Zainab Ali Raza have emerged as cycling champions, bagging gold medals in their respective events.
Usman’s exceptional performance won him not just one, but two gold medals at the World Games, affirming his status as a rising star in the world of cycling.
Muhammad Safir Abad Rizvi displayed his prowess by clinching a silver medal in the challenging 25 km race, completing it in an impressive time of 53 minutes and 34.85 seconds.
Maria Manzoor, a promising Pakistani weightlifter, also showcased her strength in the bench press, winning a silver medal in the 69 weight class category at the event.
In addition, Maria Manzoor also secured a bronze medal in the combined weight division, further solidifying Pakistan’s standing among the top performers.
On the other hand, the Badminton team faced stiff competition from Bangladesh and Macau China, unfortunately falling to defeat with scores of 21-18 and 21-15, respectively.
In the women’s basketball event, Pakistan faced a strong challenge from Bulgaria, who emerged victorious with a score of 21-11.
However, the women’s team rebounded with Faiza Qamar and Iman Amir securing a bronze medal following an impressive 3-0 victory over Saudi Arabia.
