Details of the initiative reveal that three lucky laborers will receive free cars during this Eid, while thousands of others will be gifted Apple iPhones.
The Saada welfare scheme will take place at worker accommodations in Al Quoz, Jebel Ali, and Muhaisnah, encompassing all the laborers residing in Dubai.
According to Khaleej Times, Major General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, the Chairman of the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs, said that every worker will receive coupon cards to participate in Saada.
He also assured the laborers that assistance would be provided in filling out the details on the coupon cards, which will then be placed in a draw box. The draw is scheduled to occur on Eid in the previously mentioned worker districts.
Obaid detailed that the draw would span three days, with the car prize set to be drawn on the last day of Eid Al-Adha.
The initiative will not just offer gifts, but will also feature additional forms of entertainment such as folklore and cultural performances to engage the workers at the locations.
Funded by the Dubai Charity Association and Beit Al Khair Society, the initiative will also offer a hearty lunch to the workers on Eid Al-Adha, as confirmed by committee officials.
Numerous organizations and partners back this initiative, including the Department of Economic Development (DED),
Dubai Municipality, Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, Dubai Police, and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA).
The Secretary General of the committee, Abdullah Lashakri Muhammad, referred to this initiative as a token of gratitude, noting that the workers contribute to the beauty of UAE and its cities.
He emphasized that they represent the most diligent segment of Dubai, as they leave their families behind to work in the UAE.
