WASHINGTON/BEIJING/NEW YORK: Elon Musk, Apple’s Tim Cook, GE Aerospace’s Larry Culp and Boeing’s Kelly Ortberg will join US President Donald Trump on his visit to China this week, a White House official told Reuters.
Others taking part include Meta’s Dina Powell McCormick, Blackrock’s Larry Fink, Blackstone’s Stephen Schwarzman, Cisco’s Chuck Robbins, Micron’s Sanjay Mehrota, Mastercard’ss Michael Miebach, Qualcomm’s Christiano Amon and Visa’s Ryan McInerney, the official said.
Ortberg told Reuters in April that Boeing was counting on the Trump administration to help unlock a long-awaited major order from China.

Interesting that Kelly Ortberg is going after Boeing’s been waiting on that massive China order. Hope Trump can actually deliver this time.
UN, EU and China and US are central to this development. The decisions made here will have ripple effects.
Tim Cook going with Trump? Apple’s been trying to appease China for years, but this trip feels like a high-stakes poker game for all these CEOs.
The war mentioned here in Beijing, Washington involving China and US is significant. Let’s see how this plays out in the coming weeks.
So Musk, Cook, and Ortberg all fly to China with Trump? That’s a lot of corporate firepower—wonder if they’ll come back with any real deals or just photo ops.
