Islamabad – February 13, 2025: Pakistanis, as well as Muslims from across the world, will be Observing Shab-e-Barat Tonight, Thursday, by praying, seeking their apologies, and getting their blessings on the night of blessing.
What is Shab-e-Barat
The fifteenth night of Sha’ban, Laylat-ul-Bara’ah, is the most sacred night of Islam. Allah Almighty will determine human beings’ destiny for the next year on this night. Unprecedented acts of worship and prayers will be performed to seek Allah’s mercy and blessings.
Unprecedented Acts of Worship and Prayers
Pakistan mosques will be arranging:
- Unprecedented optional Nawafil (prayers).
- Quran recitals.
- All-night Dua (supplications).
- Friday, February 14, sermons of Islamic scholars in a religious environment, repentance, purifying the soul, and righteousness.
All Muslim Muslims across history will also commemorate Friday, February 14, as proof of faith and purification of the soul.
Traffic Plan and Security Arrangements
Security has been increased in urban cities like Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi so that the night remains trouble-free.
- Deployment of more ranger and police authorities in strategic locations.
- Special traffic control measures near mosques and cemeteries.
- Orders given by the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration to mosque committees to provide improved security at religious gatherings.
- Sanitation drives within the cemetery by the municipal authority to allow visitors easy access.
As the religious community prays and spiritually reflects on this holy night, the Pakistanis will come by their millions in fervent prayer and gratitude. Shab-e-Barat is a night of forgiveness, remembering the departed, and praying for a fruitful-bare, fruitful new year.
