Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz reassured the public that Karachi is unlikely to surpass its historical low of 0°C, recorded in January 1934. He dismissed any possibility of breaking this record during the upcoming cold spell.

Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Balochistan: Impact on Karachi’s Weather

A western wind system will enter Pakistan on Wednesday evening, bringing rain and thunderstorms to Balochistan, especially from January 1 to 4, 2025. Areas like Quetta, Ziarat, and Chaman are likely to experience these conditions. The system could also affect upper Sindh, including Karachi, with light rain and thunderstorms anticipated on January 3-4.

Weather Forecast for the Week: Rain and Cold Winds to Persist

The met office indicated that this weather pattern, including the cold wave and sporadic rainfall, could persist until January 6, 2025. More rain and thunderstorms are expected during this period, adding to the ongoing chilly conditions across the region.
