{"id":964,"date":"2026-05-13T09:58:12","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T09:58:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailypakistannews.com\/?p=964"},"modified":"2026-05-13T09:58:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T09:58:12","slug":"conan-obrien-to-host-2027-oscars-organisers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailypakistannews.com\/?p=964","title":{"rendered":"Conan O&#8217;Brien to host 2027 Oscars: organisers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>LOS ANGELES: Comedian Conan O\u2019Brien will return for the third straight time to host the Oscars in 2027, organizers announced Tuesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Brien, 63, will preside over the 99th edition of American cinema\u2019s most prestigious gala, which will be held on March 14 in the heart of Hollywood.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look forward to Conan superbly leading the celebration with his brilliance and humor,\u201d said Academy CEO Bill Kramer and President Lynette Howell Taylor in a joint statement.<\/p>\n<p>The former late-night host will once again work with Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan, who will serve as executive producers of the Academy Awards for the fourth consecutive time.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement came as part of the presentation of Disney\u2019s programming lineup. Disney is the parent company of ABC, the network responsible for broadcasting the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brecorder.com\/news\/40419164\/oscar-statuette-for-mr-nobody-against-putin-goes-missing-on-flight\"><strong>Oscar statuette for \u2018Mr. Nobody Against Putin\u2019 goes missing on flight<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cConan has created remarkable energy around the Oscars,\u201d said Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich. \u201cHis singular comedic voice makes Hollywood\u2019s biggest night one of the most entertaining celebrations of the year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Brien, a six-time Emmy Award winner, has hosted several late-night television programs, including \u201cThe Tonight Show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He currently hosts the podcast \u201cConan O\u2019Brien Needs a Friend\u201d and the HBO travel series \u201cConan O\u2019Brien Must Go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Viewership for the Academy Awards dipped slightly this year, with 17.9 million people tuning in to the gala broadcast by ABC and streamed on Hulu.<\/p>\n<p>The 98th edition of the ceremony named \u201cOne Battle After Another\u201d as the year\u2019s Best Picture, and also honored its director, Paul Thomas Anderson, who took home the first Oscar of his career.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LOS ANGELES: Comedian Conan O\u2019Brien will return for the third straight time to host the Oscars in 2027, organizers announced Tuesday.
