{"id":782,"date":"2026-05-12T09:50:05","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T09:50:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailypakistannews.com\/?p=782"},"modified":"2026-05-12T09:50:05","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T09:50:05","slug":"pakistan-to-increase-oil-imports-from-russia-amid-hormuz-crisis-reports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailypakistannews.com\/?p=782","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan to increase oil imports from Russia amid Hormuz crisis, reports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>MOSCOW: Pakistan plans to increase oil imports from Russia amid the crisis in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brecorder.com\/news\/40420619\">Strait of Hormuz<\/a>, Russia\u2019s state-run <em>TASS<\/em> news agency reported, citing Pakistan\u2019s ambassador to Russia, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The envoy shared that Pakistan and Russia are working on the initiative of creating the Pakistan Stream gas pipeline.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe North-South gas pipeline is a very important initiative, and we will definitely return to it at some point,\u201d said Tirmizi, reported <em>TASS<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce the economic cooperation mechanism begins to gain new momentum, the North-South transport pipeline in Pakistan, or Pakistan Stream, will become a landmark agreement between the two countries.
