{"id":734,"date":"2026-05-12T06:50:04","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T06:50:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailypakistannews.com\/?p=734"},"modified":"2026-05-12T06:50:04","modified_gmt":"2026-05-12T06:50:04","slug":"millat-tractors-to-manufacture-chinese-electric-bikes-in-pakistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailypakistannews.com\/?p=734","title":{"rendered":"Millat Tractors to manufacture Chinese electric bikes in Pakistan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Millat Tractors Limited, \u00a0Pakistan\u2019s largest tractor manufacturer, on Tuesday announced that one of its subsidiary companies has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a leading Chinese electric bike manufacturer to manufacture electric bikes in Pakistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMillat Tractors Limited (MTL) is pleased to inform that a subsidiary company of Millat Tractors Limited has signed a MoU with a leading electric bikes manufacturer of China, for the assembly, manufacturing, and marketing of E-bikes in Pakistan,\u201d read the notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis strategic collaboration reflects the group\u2019s commitment towards diversification into the electric mobility sector and aligns with the Government of Pakistan\u2019s National Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy 2025-30,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p>The listed company shared that the MoU marks an important step toward expanding the group\u2019s product portfolio and contributing to the country\u2019s transition to sustainable transportation.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, MTL informed that one of its group companies is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brecorder.com\/news\/40420046\/millat-tractors-pakistans-largest-tractor-maker-mulls-ev-bike-production\">evaluating the feasibility <\/a>of EV bike production in Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>The development comes as demand for EV bikes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brecorder.com\/news\/40419682\/ev-bikes-demand-continues-to-surge-in-pakistan-as-petrol-prices-soar\">continues to surge <\/a>in Pakistan as petrol prices soar.<\/p>\n<p>Bike dealers and experts told <em>Business Recorder<\/em> that around 40,000 units, including 90% of EV scooters and 10% of EV bikes, were sold only in April in the country, while demand was way stronger.<\/p>\n<p>Millat Tractors Limited is a public limited company incorporated in Pakistan in 1964. MTL is engaged in the manufacturing and sale of internationally acclaimed tractors, diesel generating sets, prime movers, diesel engines and forklift trucks.<\/p>\n<p>MTL is also involved in the sale, implementation and support of Industrial and Financial System (IFS) applications locally and abroad.
