Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said on Sunday that Pakistan, its people and armed forces achieved an \u201cunparalleled victory\u201d in Marka-e-Haq, also referred to as the \u201cBattle for Truth,\u201d and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Addressing a ceremony marking one year of the operation at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, the army chief described Marka-e-Haq as a decisive clash between two ideologies in which \u201ctruth prevailed while falsehood was defeated.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said India sought to undermine Pakistan through military aggression and diplomatic isolation to alter the regional balance of power, but added that such ambitions were beyond India\u2019s \u201cstature and capabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPakistan will never allow such designs to succeed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Field Marshal Munir paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the conflict, particularly women, elderly citizens and children who lost their lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe consider the sacrifices of our martyrs a sacred trust, our strength a responsibility, and our success a blessing from Almighty Allah,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Reaffirming Pakistan\u2019s position on national security, he said there could be \u201cno compromise\u201d on the country\u2019s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national dignity.<\/p>\n

He claimed India had suffered heavy human and economic losses during the conflict and would continue to bear the consequences for years.<\/p>\n

The army chief said Pakistan\u2019s Fatah missile system and Pakistan Air Force assets had struck more than 26 enemy military targets during the operation.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy the grace of Allah, Pakistan\u2019s defense against any external aggression is now completely impregnable,\u201d he said, warning that any future \u201cadventurism\u201d against Pakistan would invite \u201cfar-reaching and painful consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n

Field Marshal Munir also highlighted the changing nature of warfare, saying future conflicts would involve multi-domain operations using long-range weapons, drones, cyber capabilities and artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

To meet modern defense requirements, he said, the Defense Forces Headquarters had been established.<\/p>\n

He further described Pakistan\u2019s strategic mutual defense agreement with Saudi Arabia as a major diplomatic achievement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
