Balochistan CM says his doors are always open to offer help

In a landmark move on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced a 100% increase in scholarships for disabled individuals. The announcement underscores the provincial government’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities in the region.
During the ceremony held in Quetta, Chief Minister Bugti unveiled a series of initiatives aimed at empowering disabled individuals and ensuring their active participation in society.

- Increased Scholarships: The doubling of scholarships will offer greater financial assistance to disabled students, enabling them to pursue education and career opportunities without financial barriers.
- “Kamk Program” Expansion: The Kamk Program, which provides resources and training for disabled individuals, will be expanded to ensure wider accessibility and support.
- Dedicated Welfare Budget: A separate budget allocation for the welfare of disabled persons is set to be introduced in the next fiscal year.
Government’s Focus on Accessibility and Inclusion
Chief Minister Bugti reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to creating an inclusive environment for disabled individuals.
- Open Doors Policy: “The doors of the CM House are always open for the disabled,” he stated, pledging active government support and inclusion in policymaking.
- Mobility Improvements: To ease daily challenges, Bugti directed the removal of unnecessary speed breakers across the province.
- Pink Scooters for Women: In a progressive step, pink scooters will be provided to disabled women, promoting their independence and mobility.
